Although Plastic Free July is coming to an end, there are still loads of things you can do to reduce your plastic waste!
As a company, we’ve been trying to reduce our plastic use for a while and we pride ourselves on our attempts to be more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
We swapped out bubble wrap for shredded cardboard that we shred ourselves with our fancy cardboard shredder. We do this by reusing the cardboard boxes we receive orders in. This has been one of the largest changes we made, and we love that we can either reuse boxes or recycle them in a new way.
We swapped plastic packing tape for kraft paper tape - even our fragile tape is paper! All of the orders we send out are plastic free.
As a coffee company with two coffee shops, we see a lot of waste in the form of takeaway cups!
Our current takeaway cups, including the lids, are actually recyclable, but it is still a lot of waste.
We try to encourage people to bring their own reusable cups for their takeaway coffees and even offer a 10p discount for those who do!
We spent a really long time finding the right reusable cup that ticks all the boxes and we finally found it! The Frank Green cup is an award-winning, spill-resistant takeaway cup that not only keeps your drinks hot (and cold!) for ages but saves the planet whilst doing so.
