Nestled a few kilometres outside the town of Karatina in Nyeri County, Getina Washing Station has been a cornerstone of the local coffee community since 1968. Positioned between the western slopes of Mt. Kenya and the eastern slopes of the Aberdares mountains, it benefits from the rich volcanic soil and ideal climate for coffee cultivation. Managed by the Mugaga Farmers’ Cooperative Society, the station proudly serves 790 members, with over 30% of them being women. This diverse and dedicated group ensures the delivery of high-quality coffee cherries, reflecting the rich heritage and collaborative spirit of the region.
This wonderfully full-bodied coffee comes from Kenya, and has an array of juicy, sweet notes. Perfect as a filter coffee, you can expect an exceptionally clean cup with every brew.
